Yoga & Mindfulness Addiction Recovery Supporting New Beginnings

“A yoga and mindfulness class designed specifically for individuals who are in recovery from substance dependence or substance abuse”.

The “12 Steps” principles are incorporated into this class. If you have disordered eating or other addictive tendencies, this class may also be of interest to you.

Evidence based scientific research highlights the benefits of yoga and mindfulness as part of the recovery process. Following the completion of your initial recovery treatment, Yoga & Mindfulness Addiction Recovery can be an additional therapeutic support tool for you to improve your well-being. By meeting other like-minded individuals, we will continue to provide each other support, motivation and accountability.

By combining gentle yoga postures, breath work and mindfulness practices, you will learn:

  • gentle yoga postures that are both useful for energising and calming to your nervous system,

  • how the yogic perspective may be incorporated into your recovery, and

  • additional recovery strategies on to how to care for yourself with compassion and kindness.

This class occurs on Saturday morning from 11.30am - 1pm.

All experience levels are welcome, including complete beginners.
