“Relax. Restore. Renew.” calms your mind, relaxes your body and helps you to prepare for a good night’s sleep.
Do you have trouble sleeping? Do you wake up in the middle of the night, tossing and turning? Do you stay awake for hours worrying or thinking about various things that are out of your control?
This two hour workshop will focus on calming the mind and balancing the nervous system through a nourishing restorative practice. Restorative yoga can help activate your parasympathetic nervous system, giving your mind and your body the opportunity to rest and re-boot. Using long held supported postures, combined with breathing exercises, you will release the deep-seated tension in your body, soothe your nervous system and boost your immune system.
We will use blocks, blankets, bolsters and other props to create an environment where your body feels at ease and enters into a state of deep relaxation. The sequence will conclude with a nurturing yoga nidra.
This workshop is open to all levels, including complete beginners. The numbers are limited, so everyone will get plenty of attention.
