Nurture Kindness. Grow Compassion.
“Nurture Kindness. Grow Compassion” provides practical tools on practicing forgiveness to improve your health and wellbeing.
Forgiving someone is never easy. You might suppress your anger towards friends, family or co-workers. You may replay their actions towards you over and over in your mind. You may even dwell on various negative thoughts or feelings caused by them. All of which can cause harm to both your physical and mental health. When you learn to forgive, you will no longer be trapped by others. You can feel free.
Scientific research suggests that forgiveness can be associated with lower levels of depression, anxiety, and anger; a reduced need to abuse substances; higher self-esteem; and an increased feeling of life satisfaction. Forgiveness can be a powerful tool in releasing stored tension or negative feelings. Using a hatha yoga practice and mindfulness techniques, we will work together to practice the art of forgiveness, to engage with your emotions in a positive way and to develop your inner strength and self-compassion.
This two hour workshop offers you the opportunity to explore what forgiveness means to you. Our practice will begin with a meditation and an intention setting exercise. This is followed by a hatha yoga practice and ends with yoga nidra, a deep consciousness relaxation.
This workshop is open to all levels, including complete beginners.
The numbers are limited, so everyone will get plenty of attention.
