A yoga and mindfulness class designed specifically for individuals who are in recovery from substance dependence or substance abuse. The “12 Steps” principles are incorporated into this class. If you have disordered eating or other addictive tendencies, this class may also be of interest to you.

Evidence based scientific research highlights the benefits of yoga and mindfulness as part of the recovery process. Following the completion of your initial recovery treatment, Yoga & Mindfulness Addiction Recovery can be an additional therapeutic support tool for you to improve your well-being. By meeting other like-minded individuals, we will continue to provide each other support, motivation and accountability through yoga, meditation and mindfulness.

One Day of Yoga

“One Day of Yoga” is a recovery focused yoga and mindfulness retreat.

During our two yoga classes, we will combine gentle yoga postures, breath work, mediation and mindfulness practices to energise and calm your nervous system. We will discuss how the yogic perspective may be incorporated into your recovery and provide additional recovery strategies on caring for yourself with compassion and kindness.

In between the morning and evening yoga classes, you will have free time to spend in the countryside, visit the beaches or socialise with other like-minded individuals over lunch.

This two hour workshop offers you the opportunity to stretch and strengthen these core muscles while learning breathing techniques to increase your oxygen levels. Releasing Emotions and Tension

Emotions such as anger, sadness, anxiety, shame, grief or fear may be stored in your body as tension. This workshop offers you the opportunity to slowly release these stored emotions using a series of passive but energising postures and breathing exercises. By increasing the flow of energy through your heart, solar, sacral and root chakras, your body can open.
